Grupo Planeta

Artika

The most important publisher specialising in artists’ books on an international level

Artika is the Grupo Planeta imprint that focuses on the production of limited and numbered editions of major artists’ books.

Ten years after Grupo Planeta set out on the adventure of creating a line of publishing treasures by such universal artists as Chillida, Goya, Van Gogh, Picasso, Dalí, Sorolla and Barceló, Artika was created to make room for all of these artistic projects and promote them on an international level.

Far from being conventional books, these are valuable works of art whose exclusive design is inspired or created by the artists themselves.

Artika has been launched in Spain with the aim of disseminating here and in the rest of the world artworks and artists who have achieved global relevance and have become reference points in the art sector.

The Artika catalogue includes publications such as El mar de Sorolla, by Joaquín Sorolla; Cahier de félins, by Miquel Barceló; Sobre lo que no sé, by Chillida; Caprichos, by Goya; Homenaje a Gaudí, by Joan Miró; Mon cher Théo, by Van Gogh; 58, by Jaume Plensa, and Los cantos de Maldoror, by Salvador Dalí, among others.
